Mary will be offering one day private or group courses in her own studio at MacMillan Point in West Covehead, a five minute drive from Howes Hall Gallery. These may be arranged upon request.
Cost is $120 per person per day and includes supplies and lunch.
Class will run from 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Primitive Rug Hooking
Artist:Mary Ploughman Jones
Mary Ploughman Jones is offering one to three day private or group courses, in the fascinating art of rug hooking. You will learn to hook in primitive style, using colour and texture to create a piece of art.
The courses will be arranged upon request and will run from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Class size is limited to six people and the cost is $10.00 per hour, per person.
Beginner patterns on linen backing are available for sale at Howes Hall Gallery during the summer months or directly from Mary in the off season. Patterns can also be designed upon request.
Students will be required to bring their own rug hooking equipment and wool. However, wool will be available for 'small' pattern details (e.g. windows, doors, chimneys, flower centres, leaf veins, etc.)at no charge.
A wool cutter in wide primitive widths will be on hand to use.
